丽江旅游概况介绍
临沧，因濒临澜沧江而得名，是中国西南边陲待开发的一块宝地。临沧是昆明通往缅甸仰光的陆上捷径;全市有沧源、耿马、镇康三个县与缅甸接壤，国境线长290.8公里。昆明经临沧出境至缅甸仰光公路里程仅1893公里，临沧被誉为"南方丝绸之路"，北回归线横贯南部，东邻思茅，北连大理，西接保山，西南与缅甸交界。全市辖临翔、凤庆、云县、双江、永德、镇康、耿马、沧源8县。土地总面积2.4万平方公里，总人口约226.5万人，其中以佤族为代表的23种少数民族人口占总人口的38.6%。有佤族人口35万人，占全国佤族总人口的三分之二。临沧四季如春，有亚洲恒温城之美称，年平均气温17.2℃。
临沧是中国佤文化的荟萃之地，沧源佤族自治县是佤族最集中的地区，神奇美丽的阿佤山有闻名海内外距今3500多年历史中国八大古崖画之一的沧源崖画，有与缅甸山水相连的南滚河国家级自然保护区;有建于清代道光年间，集建筑、雕刻、绘画为一体的云南民族地区南传上座部佛教代表建筑之一的广允佛寺;有保留较完整的从奴隶社会直接跨入现代文明的佤族原始群居村落，有丰富的佤族民间文学艺术和独特的饮食文化，其中木鼓舞、甩发舞享誉中外，集中展现了中国佤族文化的内涵。
临沧是世界著名的"滇红"之乡。是世界种茶的原生地之一，有500余年的种茶制茶历史。1938年，"滇红"在凤庆试制成功，成为中国的出口名茶，年出口量均占全省茶叶出口量的40%以上，创汇占全省茶叶出口量的50%以上，云南凤庆滇红茶叶集团股份有限公司是云南目前最大的茶叶生产企业。
